We at LUZI have found a remedy for those who have not yet reached that state of grace that leads them not to notice the cold and heat, because they are so happy. We do it with a new recipe: digestive-style biscuits with organic wholemeal spelled flour and organic LUZI corn. Delicious to eat with a cup of tea or a coffee or a jar of fruit yogurt, as a snack or for breakfast, certainly extraordinary as a base for fantastic fresh cakes and cheesecakes.

Who, on the other hand, doesn’t love cheesecake? But above all, who doesn’t love the digestive biscuit? We at LUZI offer you an even healthier version of the classic Anglo-Saxon wholemeal biscuit. Through the use of natural ingredients and the best flour from Italian organic farming, stone-ground, and rich in fiber and original nutrients, we will obtain an incredibly precious food for our health, a greedy ally against the coldest days of the year, and a truly deserved pampering to our diet.

The recipe we are going to propose is simple, like nature itself from which the foods we have selected for its realization come from. In this we put the goodness and authenticity of our products, we only ask you to put love for you and for those you feed.

Ingredients:

  • 40 grams of LUZI organic wholemeal cornflour
  • 100 grams of LUZI type 2 organic flour
  • 300 grams of LUZI organic wholemeal spelled flour
  • 150 grams of whole cane sugar
  • 200 grams of vegetable margarine
  • two teaspoons of vanilla yeast
  • 1 egg (alternatively, increase the doses of margarine to 250 grams total or replace with a cup of milk or oat milk).

Ricetta

The procedure for making excellent digestive-style spelled biscuits is as follows. Take a baking sheet that you will have adhered to parchment paper. Turn on the convection oven to 160 ° C and let it heat up. Meanwhile, in a bowl, add the sugar, egg, and margarine directly from the fridge to the flour. Begin to knead vigorously and form a ball to put in the fridge for a quarter of an hour. After waiting the necessary time, place the dough on a floured work surface and start rolling out the dough with the help of a rolling pin. Take a shape you like. We chose a circle, the classic shape of the digestive biscuit. And start processing the cookies. With a fork have fun piercing the cookies. Place them on the pan spacing them a few centimeters. Put in the oven and wait twenty minutes, checking from time to time the complexion, which must be more and more golden, thanks to the brown sugar and the whole flour rich in bran. The result is amazing. They are excellent for any time of day, for a healthy and nutritious snack, and for a breakfast full of energy and well-being. Or to make fantastic desserts.

Our advice gives this biscuit an edge: try to keep the digestive biscuits in a jar that contained honey. Its essence will be instilled in the biscuits giving them an even sweeter and more intense taste. And good appetite!
